Dominique is best known for her extreme passion and efforts in properly educating patients, improving medical research and making high quality health care affordable and accessible.

Dominique founded Blush & Bump Physiotherapy during the Covid-19 pandemic whilst she worked as a Primary Care Physiotherapist in General Practice. During these eventful times, she observed more than ever how her patients were in need of more education, specificity and time allocated to them. Ms Williams’ experience in hospital-based Women’s Health Physiotherapy also outlined how pregnant and post-natal women need a lot more support, clinical understanding and specialist care than currently reported. Thus - Blush & Bump Physiotherapy was born! - Pun thoroughly intended.

Dominique graduated at St Georges Hospital of London, where to-date she has gained experience in some of the most highly respected NHS Trusts. She has worked in Spinal Surgery Unit at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery [the most prestigious hospital for Spinal and Neurosurgery in the UK], as well as several MSK (Musculoskeletal) specialist units around London.

Ms Williams has worked with high level athletes including Olympic level long jumpers, average gym-goers, ante/postnatal women, over 50s and much in-between. She takes special interest in Obstetric and Gynaecology or individuals seeking a return or new journey into fitness.

Dominique’s time in General Practice provided valuable accessibility to additional medicinal care, including ordering bloods, radiography scans such as; MRIs/ X-RAYS, fluid samples (e.g. urine/stool) or onward referral to specialist care (e.g Orthopaedics/Neurology, etc). These are helpful skills which enable Ms Williams to consider widely your requirements, particularly in an event where you may require a written report or request to your GP for further investigations.

Currently, Ms Williams works both Privately (with Blush & Bump) and in the NHS as a Women’s Health Physio.

INTERESTING FACTS

Dominique also studied a degree in Animal Science in Aberystwyth, Wales. She also taught practical administration of veterinary medicine to upskill livestock workers in City Farms around London, whilst managing large-scale farms outside of London.

Whilst studying, Dominique enjoyed high-level Western boxing, American Kick-boxing and Muay Thai. She trained out in Thailand for long periods of time before moving into Physiotherapy after an accident. After observing the notorious unhealthy lifestyle and often low confidence in students, she opened a boxing club in Aberystwyth which remains successful today.

Ms Williams has received several awards and has officially met with the Late Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla and several MPs in relation to her years of voluntary work and efforts to educate the public around agriculture and nutrition.

Along with her 3 children, Dominique enjoys restorative / transformational meditation, reflective writing, yoga and swimming.
